Dennis Brewer, Jr.

Dennis G. Brewer Jr., a shareholder and partner of the firm, began his legal career in 1980. He graduated from Southern Methodist University, cum laude, in 1977 and earned his law degree from Southern Methodist Dedman School of Law in 1980. Dennis became licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and in the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Texas, in 1980.

From his years in law school as a law clerk through 1985 as a practicing trial attorney, Dennis gained extensive trial and appellate experience across multiple areas of practice, particularly including, personal injury and wrongful death, criminal law, general civil litigation, and family law. In 1985, Dennis was certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization as a specialist in the field of Family Law at which time he focused his trial practice on complex, contested family law cases. The firm developed an extensive practice representing and counseling churches, clergy, and religious organizations nationally and abroad.

In 2007, Dennis moved into the position of General Counsel and CFO of Fellowship Church and subsequently, as well, C3Global, an Association of several hundred churches founded by Fellowship Church. He received his license in ministry in 2007 and in 2011 his Certificate of Ordination. Dennis continues to serve on the staff of Fellowship Church and C3 Global and as an officer of both entities. Dennis also serves as a Director of several other nonprofit organizations based in Texas, Oklahoma, and Arizona.

Dennis holds the office of President of America’s Mighty Warriors, a national nonprofit organization serving Gold Star Families, and troops, both active and retired. He is a member of the Fort Worth Air Power counsel, a nonprofit organization founded in 1958 that supports our military troops and their families.

Dennis has received the distinction of being named a “Super Lawyer” by Texas Monthly Magazine for fifteen years consecutively since 2004. He has an “AV” rating by Martindale Hubbell, the highest rating given, which is based upon confidential survey responses of attorneys and judges (A = preeminent attorney; V = very high general ethical standards).

Laura Lang

For more than fifteen years Laura Lang has advised nonprofit organizations of all shapes and sizes.  Ms. Lang's experience ranges from creation of entities and initial tax exemption filings to legal reviews of policies and procedures necessary to run an effective organization. When she is not advising nonprofits, Ms. Lang represents entrepreneurs as they begin their work and individuals in estate planning and probate matters.  In all aspects of representation, Ms. Lang is a solution oriented attorney and guides her clients through best practices.  She provides clients with information that allows them to make effective strategic decisions. Laura Lang attended Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana for her undergraduate studies. She attended Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law for her Juris Doctor and was a member of the Computer Law Review and Technology Journal.  Over sixteen years in practice, Ms. Lang has represented individuals and entities in a wide variety of probate, real estate, and corporate matters.  

Ms. Lang has provided guidance on employment matters, best practices, entity formation, tax exempt applications, and real estate matters.  This includes employment manuals, intellectual property agreements, real estate closings, contract disputes and a host of other matters related to business operations.  

Laura Lang has been recognized on multiple occasions as a "Texas Rising Star" by Texas Monthly and Law and Politics Magazine and her peers. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Dallas Bar Association.  She is a member of the Junior League of Dallas and First United Methodist Church, Coppell, where she is a Trustee.

Nicholas R Veach

Mr. Nicholas R Veach has been in practice for over 23 years. Prior to focusing his practice solely on real estate, Mr. Veach spent 5 years as a trial lawyer handling a variety of civil disputes for lenders, builders/developers, and foreclosure prevention teams.

Mr. Veach attended Southern Methodist University where he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Veach has utilized this Civil Engineering degree by operating Veach Land Surveying Company for 30 years wherein he worked as both an Attorney and with Land Surveys and Surveyors. Mr. Veach’s real estate experience includes his ability to review, evaluate and assess Survey Plats and Engineering Plans.

Mr. Veach received a Juris Doctor from Texas A&M University, is a member of the TLTA, and has been nominated as an Expert Contributor of monthly publications in the North Dallas and Carrollton Communities.

Mr. Veach has a unique style of handling both the multi-transactional investment companies flipping 15 property’s a month and the individuals struggling trying to make it from one property to another. He manages the assets of Real Estate investors from the initial review of acquisition plan which includes an evaluation of the foreclosure list, the post foreclosure eviction process and appeal, interim loan docs and legal issues during the rehab and the final insured real estate closing.

As his focus on Real Estate increased, he has acquired extensive experience in foreclosure prevention working for one of the pre-eminent short sale and foreclosure prevention firms in the country. Mr. Veach, a Stage 4 Throat Cancer Survivor, is uniquely qualified in the understanding life’s difficulties and struggles. With a soft heart but great confidence, his style and steadfastness dealing with Homeowners losing their home due to a recent divorce, overwhelming debt, loss of a job, a failed loan modification, higher interest on mortgage, and serious health problems has resulted in many success stories. Mr. Veach has experienced successful foreclosure prevention with the following institutions: Bank of America, Chase, Wells Fargo, Ocwen, CitiMortgage, Select Portfolio Servicing, Caliber Homes Loans, Ditech, Bayview Loan Servicing, PennyMac Loan Services, Mr. Cooper, Carrington Mortgage, Shellpoint Mortgage Servicing, Midland Mortgage, US Bank, PHH Mortgage, Freedom Mortgage, HSBC, Flagstar Bank, LoanCare, Specialized Loan Servicing, Rushmore Loan Management Services, Cenlar, Quicken Loans, and many other lenders.

Patty Wenetschlaeger

Patty Wenetschlaeger serves as a mediator and arbitrator in many areas of law. Ms. Wenetschlaeger is known for her diligence in mediation and moving parties forward with creative and practical solutions to their conflicts. She is an adjunct professor teaching advanced mediation courses for Abilene Christian University's Master's Degree Program in Dispute Resolution as well as the Straus Institute at Pepperdine’s School of Law in Malibu, California. Ms. Wenetschlaeger has been a speaker for the state bar of Texas promoting Pro Bono work in the area of Family Law and is also a conference speaker, emphasizing the need for dispute resolution methods in the faith-based communities.

In addition to her mediation and arbitration practice, Ms. Wenetschlaeger practices in the area of Family Law and Non-Profit Law, including religious organizations and other public charities. Ms. Wenetschlaeger is licensed to practice law in the state of Texas and in the U.S. Northern District of Texas. Within the area of Family Law, Ms. Wenetschlaeger handles all legal matters affecting children and families, including marital relations and divorce, custody, child support, enforcement, paternity, grandparent access, and adoption.

Ms. Wenetschlaeger attended Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu, California where she received her Juris Doctor along with a Master of Dispute Resolution from the Strauss Institute at Pepperdine. She was selected for a fellowship with the Strauss Institute for Dispute Resolutions and served as a mediator in the Ventura County, California Family Courts and trained inner city students in Peer Mediation. She attended Abilene Christian University where she received a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology.

Ms. Wenetschlaeger is a council member on the State Bar of Texas ADR Section as well as a member of the Dallas Bar Association, the Tarrant County Family Law Bar Association, the Abilene Bar Association, the Texas Mediation Trainers Roundtable, Texas Association of Mediators, and the Advisory Board for the Center for Conflict Resolution at Abilene Christian University. On multiple occasions Ms. Wenetschlaeger has been selected by her peers for recognition in Texas Monthly magazine as a "Rising Star Super Lawyer in Texas" in the field of Family Law.
