Craig Jackson

Having tried lawsuits of various types for twenty years, Craig Jackson has seen just about everything there is to see in the practice of law. That experience has given Mr. Jackson the ability to realistically assess the settlement value of his clients' cases.  Mr. Jackson understands that when clients come to him with legal problems, they want solutions.  As such, he goes to great length to tell clients what they need to hear as opposed to telling them what they want to hear.  He places a premium on educating clients as to the strengths and weaknesses of their cases so that they may make informed decisions in prosecuting their cases.

Craig Jackson attended Baylor Law School where he received his Juris Doctor in 1996. Subsequent to graduation, Mr. Jackson immediately opened his own law office where he became a seasoned litigator in very short order. Over the course of nine years as a solo practitioner, Mr. Jackson tried a wide variety of cases including divorces, child custody suits, family violence suits, criminal cases, breach of contract suits, and personal injury matters.

Much of Mr. Jackson's practice consists of litigating high conflict family law matters. This includes handling divorces with complex estates, child custody disputes, child support matters, protective orders, and other disputes that affect the parent-child relationship.  Additionally, much of Mr. Jackson's practice is spent drafting prenuptial and postnuptial agreements.

Many of Mr. Jackson's divorce cases have involved complicated business transactions, real estate transactions, and torts. As a result, many of his divorce clients have retained him to provide services related to their businesses or other transactions.

Additionally, Mr. Jackson has developed a prolific appellate practice that has included presenting arguments to various appellate courts as well as the Texas Supreme Court.

Mr. Jackson has been board certified in family law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 2004, is a member of the Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists, and is regularly selected by his peers for recognition in Texas Monthly magazine as a "Super Lawyer" in the field of Family Law.

Mr. Jackson grew up in DeSoto, Texas, and after graduating from DeSoto High School, he attended the University of North Texas.  Shortly after the first gulf war, Mr. Jackson joined the U.S. Navy Reserve. After boot camp and a temporary active duty stint, he returned to UNT to finish his undergraduate degree. He then attended Baylor Law School and graduated in 1996.
